Results of the “Cultural & Creative Award” representing a year of culture and creative trends and fashions 2019.04.26

2019 is the ninth year the “Cultural & Creative Award” has been held and this year the 617 participating items came from Creative Expo Taiwan, which represents a 13% increase on last year. After a highly competitive first round, 60 products qualified for the final. On April 23, an international jury panel made its final deliberations on site and selected 30 to receive the “Cultural & Creative Award”.

This year’s prizewinners will be available for purchase from “Design Pin” shop at Songshan Culture and Creative Park from April 23-May 27, including the most eye-catching products from this year’s Creative Expo Taiwan. The “Cultural & Creative Award” is an important award that every year celebrates newcomers in the field of culture and creativity and highlight new trends and fashions. Come and experience real IP appeal

Cuisine and IP characters, two elements that are particularly appealing are brought together to create an innovative expo snack area. 
Meow and Fubao bring with them the sweetest tea and dessert shop called “Meow x Fubao Desserts,” the US classical and fashionable design brand Paul Frank offers food and drinks based on his signature character Julius the Monkey, while popular star Maji Meow has a series of cotton candy offerings that add to the feeling of joy and happiness at the expo.







Eye-catching illustration design theme-based rooms at Check Inn


2019 is the first time Creative Expo Taiwan has cooperated with renowned Taipei hotel Check Inn. This venture seeks to eliminate the limits imposed by exhibition times and locations, by promoting theme-based guest rooms and a flash market. In this way both local and overseas visitors have more opportunities to interact with Taiwanese culture and creativity.

The theme-based guest rooms are designed in conjunction with three image authorization brands from Creative Expo Taiwan, with examples of creative ideas showcased everywhere, from the lobby to the hall, room doors and even bathrooms, the idea being to surprise new guests as they check-in. Other than the theme-based guest rooms, the first floor of the hotel has a flash market that combines “local and international elements.” Six design brands from Creative Expo Taiwan will be displayed here, showcasing excellent design products that combine local creativity with international trends.

The design flash market will run from today until April 22, the theme-based guest room activity will run from today until May 31. Please feel free to visit the site and experience first hand the beauty and appeal of Taiwanese design.
